NovAtel Awarded Galileo Contract

      NovAtel [NGPS], a precise positioning technology company, received a $142,000 Canadian ($91,000) contract from Public Works & Government Services Canada for an interoperability study on the receiver requirements for Galileo, the European satellite navigation system expected to be fully operable by 2008. NovAtel will study the requirements for a combined GPS/Galileo receiver. The University of Calgary will work under a subcontract to NovAtel to analyze the performance of the system using constellation modeling techniques.
