BSkyB has inked a four-year deal with Telewest under which three of BSkyB’s channels – Sky One, Sky Sports News and Sky News – will be carried on Telewest. All Telewest’s analogue and digital subscribers will have access to Sky News and Sky One, and Sky Sports News will be available to Telewest’s starter package for digital subscribers.

Martin Goswami, commercial director of BSkyB, was delighted with the deal. “This agreement achieves our goal of long-term cable distribution for Sky’s most popular basic-tier channels. We are delighted that Sky One will increase its reach in cable homes and we look forward to bringing Sky Sports News to Telewest customers for the first time.”
