Pramer, New Skies Ink Deal

Pramer ,a wholly-owned unit of Liberty Media and one of Latin America’s largest cable programmers, has signed a deal with New Skies Satellite to expand Pramer ‘s capacity on the NSS-806 video neighbourhood.

The deal will allow Pramer,the Argentine cable programmer,to expand into new markets and look for new audiences.The deal is further evidence of New Skies Satellite ‘s continued efforts to expand in the Latin American market.

Cristian Soto Arriaga,Pramer’s vice president of technical operations,said: “As we were identifying opportunities for growth during these difficult times in Argentina,we chose to expand our relationship with New Skies because of their significant expertise in programme distribution and because the NSS-806 neighbourhood offers excellent penetration into the region ‘s headends.”

Dolores Martos,New Skies ‘vice president of sales in Latin America,said:”Pramer ‘s expanded presence in the NSS-806 neighbourhood guarantees the satellite will remain one of the Latin America ‘s most attractive platforms for television distribution.”
