The History Channel has linked up with a travel specialist to offer what it claims is a first for a documentary channel, in that viewers to its upcoming “Egypt: Beyond the Pyramids” series will be able to book directly with the programme’s sponsors for holidays to Egypt.
The History Channel has recently won Promax Gold awards for a US marketing campaign and its ‘Good Vibrations’ promotion of ‘Biography’ music profiles. The channel in the UK is a joint venture between A&E Networks and BSkyB.
