BBC ELECTION INTERACTIVITY

      As the votes are counted in the British election on June 7, DTT viewers will be able to plug into the BBC’s election database as part of an enhanced television application. The Interactive Election Special has been created by BBC News and BBC News Media and will be accessed on tuning into BBC1 or BBC News 24, which will be broadcasting the election night programme.

      It will stay on the air until shortly after the final results, from the Northern Ireland count, are announced on Friday evening. Digital cable viewers on the Telewest network and digital satellite viewers will also be able to access results information their respective text services. DTT viewers will be able to use an alphabetic guide to each UK constituency and a guide to the ‘battlegrounds’ the Labour party will need to win in order to retain power.
