By Staff Writer | December 13, 2000

Italian business channel Class Financial Network has released figures that show that on average 630,000 viewers tune in daily to its programmes, while advertising revenues during its first year of activity have topped L15 billion (E7.75 million).

The channel, owned by financial publishers Class Editori and commercial network Mediaset, has recently nominated two new managers. Nicola Porro will take over the post of director of programming, while Andrea Cabrini will head the news department.

Class Editori also signed an agreement with Mariella Burani Fashion Group (MBFG) for the launch of a new thematic satellite channel devoted to luxury products and world fashion. The publishing group will take a 20 per cent stake in Fashion Web.Net, controlled by MBFG, while the latter, through Fashion Web.Net, will buy a 17.5 per cent stake of a new company, which will be founded by Class Editori and will be responsible for running the new channel.
