Stratos To Supply Mobile Satellite Services Through Raytheon Marine Co.

      Stratos Global Corp. [SGB] said it has signed a three-year agreement making it the exclusive supplier of mobile satellite services to Raytheon Marine Co. in the United States and Caribbean.

      Raytheon Marine will resell exclusively Stratos services to their established dealers and through them to end-users. Raytheon Marine, a leading manufacturer of maritime communications and navigation equipment, is a subsidiary of the Raytheon Co. [RTN].

      Stratos said the services provided through Raytheon Marine will include Inmarsat Ventures Ltd. services such as Inmarsat mini-M, Inmarsat B, Inmarsat B High-speed data and STU 3 airtime services, as well as proprietary solutions such as StratosNet, the company’s Internet service.

      “We’re very excited about this new agreement with Stratos, as it will enable us to provide state-of-the-art mobile satellite communications that our customers in the marine industry require,” said Jeff Fellows, vice president for sales and marketing at Raytheon Marine.
