MT Aerospace Building Ariane 6 Mechanical Systems for Kourou

[Via Satellite 10-10-2016] OHB SE subsidiary MT Aerospace received a contract on Oct. 7 from the French space agency CNES for the development, manufacturing, delivery and commissioning of the mechanical systems for the future Ariane 6 launch facilities at the Guyana Space Center in Kourou, French Guyana. The company is responsible for these tasks until handover to CNES and the European Space Agency (ESA) in May 2018.
The contract is worth a total of 23 million euros ($25.7 million). MT Aerospace is a risk-share-partner and cluster prime for metallic structures for the Ariane 6.
