Microspace Launches DataBridge IP Solution on Eutelsat 117 West

[Via Satellite 10-05-2016] Microspace Communications has revealed a new two-way satellite service called Velocity DataBridge for enterprise-level connectivity. The service uses miniature satellite antennas and an integrated IP modem and router to offer connectivity from the Eutelsat 117 West satellite.

Velocity DataBridge delivers services in the continental U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. According to Microspace the service requires inexpensive hardware and has low monthly operational costs, making it optimal for Machine-to-Machine (M2M), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and the Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Eutelsat was an instrumental partner in developing the platform.
