[Via Satellite 09-29-2016] NovelSat has launched a new satellite Network Management System (NMS) called NovelNet NMS, designed to accelerate the deployment of both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links. The product performs bandwidth management and performance analysis, drag and drop network planning and provisioning, and automated workflow management. Furthermore, the system can perform bandwidth and service allocation on demand, service activation and bandwidth allocation scheduling, and automated carrier power tracking and control.

Through Oct. 31, NovelSat is offering an introductory package that includes a free trial of NovelNet NMS plus NovelSat NS4, the company’s fourth generation satellite transmission waveform, with both priced at a 50 percent discount. NovelSat NS4 is available on all NovelSat satellite modems, modulators and demodulators. NovelSat claims that NovelSat NS4 can outperform the spectral efficiency of Digital Video Broadcast-Satellite Second Generation (DVB-S2) by as much as 45 percent.
