Eutelsat to Broadcast Manoto TV in High Definition

[Via Satellite 06-15-2016] Commercial Persian-language television channel Manoto TV is launching tomorrow on the Eutelsat 7B satellite, the satellite operator announced today. The channel signed a capacity agreement with Eutelsat for exclusive broadcasting in HD from Eutelsat 7B to expand its audience in Iran and the Middle East.

Based in London, Manoto TV broadcasts documentaries, films, series, original entertainment and news. The channel is Iran’ most popular video neighborhood, reaching more than 10 million households via Eutelsat’s Hot Bird orbital position.

More than 2 million of these homes are already equipped for dual-feed reception from Hot Bird and the collocated Eutelsat 7A and 7B satellites. Other Hot Bird homes can add a second LNB to their existing dish or viewers can use a sub-70cm dish pointed to 7 degrees east to reach these satellites.
