HPT Hires Retired Army Officer to Strengthen Government Business

[Satellite TODAY 07-17-12] Satellite communications and connectivity firm Hawaii Pacific Teleport (HPT) has hired U.S. Army Maj. Darryl Stewart (ret.) as its managing partner and vice president of government operations, the company announced July 16.

   Stewart has 26 years of experience working with telecommunications and commercial satellite networks at the U.S. Department of Defense, having served more than 21 years on active duty in the Army Signal Corps. He previously served as director of integrated logistics and field operations at Rockwell Collins.
   HPT said the company would utilize his experience in network operations, logistic solutions and field support operations to expand HPT’s capabilities, catering specifically to government requirements.
