[Satellite TODAY 06-01-12] SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft returned from its NASA demonstration mission after departed from the International Space Station in the early morning of May 31, SpaceX CEO and Chief Designer Elon Musk confirmed May 31.

Musk said the vehicle splashed down safely in the Pacific Ocean and that recovery boats are now en route to bring the spacecraft back to land.
SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft became the first commercial vehicle in history to successfully attach to the International Space Station after it was launched last week.  Only four governments – the United States, Russia, Japan and the European Space Agency – had previously achieved the technical feat.
