[Satellite TODAY 03-16-12] Glowlink has won a competitive contract to provide spectrum-monitoring equipment for the U.S. National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) satellites, the company announced March 13.

The NOAA will deploy a network of monitoring systems based on Glowlink’s Model 1000 and Model 1010 wideband spectrum monitoring systems to monitor links carried on GOES satellites. The Model 1010 is a super-wide bandwidth version of the Model 1000 with enhanced carrier monitoring characteristics.
“We are extremely pleased with this competitive win,” Glowlink CEO Jeffrey Chu said in a statement. “With this contract, Glowlink achieves a market reach that now spans weather, sports, entertainment, advertising, broadcast, aviation and national security in both domestic and international markets.”
