Access Intelligence, LLC Names Scott Chase
as SATELLITE 2008-2009 Conference Chairman

The annual conference and exhibition attracts more than 8,000 attendees and 270 exhibiting companies to Washington, D.C.

Rockville, Md. – May 15, 2007 – Access Intelligence, LLC, a full service B2B information and marketing solutions provider, is pleased to announce that Scott Chase has been named Conference Chairman for the SATELLITE Conference and Exhibition.

Chase entered the satellite industry as a PR executive with Communications Satellite Corporation (COMSAT) in 1981, after leaving The Washington Post where he was a news staffer for five years. In 1986 Chase was hired by Phillips Publishing (PBI) as associate editor of Satellite News, and soon became the editor of Via Satellite magazine. He chaired the SATELLITE conference for more than a dozen years before leaving Phillips to become president and CEO of The Strategis Group, a telecom/wireless market study and consulting firm in Washington, DC. For the past four years Chase has been a partner of GRID Media, LLC with former PBI senior executive Dave Shaw.

“During his first tenure with the Access Intelligence Satellite Group (then PBI), Scott built Via Satellite magazine and the SATELLITE Conference and Exhibition from the bottom up—his insight, ideas and hard work are why thousands of professionals still use these resources as their leading source of content, news and business-building intelligence for the satellite enabled communications marketplace,” said Joe Rosone, Vice President and Satellite Group Publisher.

“We are fortunate that Scott and the SATELLITE Conference can come full circle together.” Rosone continued. “With SATELLITE 2007’s record-breaking attendance and Scott’s vast experience in the satellite marketplace, SATELLITE 2008 will continue to provide exhibitors and attendees with a venue that focuses on cutting edge technology and the most current and compelling content.”

Chase’s first line of business as Chairperson will be to recruit more than 300 speakers and plan the content for the three-day conference and one-day pre-conference program. The SATELLITE Conference is known for presenting keen insights on the state of the satellite enabled communications marketplace, with market intelligence and forecasts for future business development.

“The SATELLITE Conference and Exhibition consistently sets the mark as the global meeting place for leaders across all aspects of capacity provision, services, equipment, and applications,” Chase said. “I am delighted to be able to facilitate serious discussion regarding the future of satellite enabled communications, its opportunities and threats, and how we keep this vibrant marketplace growing.”

SATELLITE 2008 is February 25-28 in the Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW, Washington, D.C. For more information, visit www.SATELLITE2008.com.
