PolarSat Introduces 8-PSK Modulation Capability on VSATPlus 3 Modem

VSAT communication modems developer PolarSat has unveiled 8-PSK modulation and multi language user interface support on its VSATPlus 3 solution, the company announced Jan. 31.
The inclusion of 8-PSK modulation aims to improve the VSATPlus 3’s efficiency at both link and network levels. The integrated product is being marketed to telecommunications operators, satellite service providers, government and military entities and corporate enterprise users.
“Existing VSATPlus 3 users can upgrade their existing units through a software download. Our software defined modem has allowed us to provide these features without having to touch the hardware,” PolarSat Spokesman Ron Mankarious said in a statement.
