Thomson Video Networks Meets Accelerated Broadcast Installation Order in China

Chinese cable operator Fujian Southeast selected technology solutions from Thomson Video Networks (TVN) to help the broadcaster upgrade its headend infrastructure, TVN announced April 6.
    The TVN system was specified and delivered to Fujian at an accelerated schedule to meet the broadcaster’s requirements in February. The installation included a range of TVN’s ViBE encoders, NetProcessor 9030 Multiplexers, an Amethyst switcher and the XMS management system.
    In a statement, Fujian Spokesman Chen Tiegang said the TVN technology provided scalability to the broadcaster, helping make its operations more efficient, robust and cost-effective. “Thomson Video Networks moved very quickly to provide the equipment and service we needed for this project. The new technology Thomson has installed gives us a high-quality platform for continuing success and expansion of our services.”
