By Jeffrey Hill | March 13, 2013

The Hosted Payload Alliance (HPA) has selected Janet Nickloy, director of Aerospace Mission Solutions for Harris Corporation, as its 2013 chair.
The HPA fosters dialogue between the government and the satellite industry to promote the benefits of hosted government payloads on commercial satellites. At Harris, Nickloy is responsible for growth strategies related to payloads, electronics, and precision structures for commercial and government space and airborne platforms. She has had experience with several ongoing implementations at the company, including the global aviation surveillance payload for Aireon on the Iridium NEXT constellation.
“There is tremendous energy and momentum in both the industry and government communities, and I look forward to accelerating the path toward hosted payloads as an affordable and reliable solution for select missions,” said Nickloy on a statement.
She also serves on the advisory council of the Space Coast Economic Development Council and is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the Women in Aerospace association.
