[Via Satellite 08-15-2014] Arianespace’s dual launch of Measat 3b and Optus 10 has been scheduled for Sept. 11. The launch was delayed from June 6 when Optus Networks requested additional time to verify its satellite. Measat 3b was placed in storage at Europe’s Kourou spaceport.

Arianespace has moved the Ariane 5 rocket into the spaceport’s final assembly building for the integration of the two satellites. Once in orbit, Measat 3b will collocated with Measat 3 and Measat 3a at 91.5 degrees east, carrying 48 Ku-band transponders for Direct-To-Home (DTH) and VSAT services in Malaysia, India, Indonesia and Australia. Optus 10 will host 24 Ku-band transponders for DTH, broadband and telecom services over Australia and New Zealand.
