Advantech Wireless Releases New Multi-Carrier Demodulator

[Via Satellite 01-31-2014] Advantech Wireless has announced the release of its Advanced Multi-Carrier Demodulator (MCD) with an aggregate throughput of up to 32 Mbps. The MCD is designed for multi-frequency time division multiple access (MF-TDMA), and can support up to 96 return link MF-TDMA carriers on a single card, and also minimizes terminal capital expenditure (CAPEX).
The MCD will support different encapsulation formats and symbol rate on each TDMA carrier simultaneously. This will provide capacity optimization with longer bursts for streaming traffic, such as video, and shorter bursts for variable traffic, such as Internet browsing.
