U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame Inducts ATK’s Charlie Precourt

      [Satellite TODAY 05-08-12] ATK Aerospace Launch Division Vice President and General Manager Charlie Precourt has been inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, ATK confirmed May 7.

         Precourt was inducted in the Astronaut Hall of Fame’s 2012 class, along with retired astronauts Franklin Chang-Diaz and Kevin Chilton.
         Before joining ATK Launch Systems in March 2005 as vice president of advanced programs, strategy and business development, Precourt spent 15 years with NASA. He qualified as a space shuttle astronaut in 1991 and logged more than 932 hours in space on four flight missions.
         “I feel it is a tremendous honor to be inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame and am pleased and humbled to join my friends and colleagues who have already received this tribute,” Precourt said in a statement.
