GPS Research Lab Director Joins Polaris Wireless as Technical Advisor to CEO

      [Satellite TODAY 03-14-12] Software-based location solutions provider Polaris Wireless has hired GPS Research Laboratory Director Per Enge as its chief technical advisor to Polaris CEO Manlio Allegra, the company confirmed March 12.

         Polaris said it was leveraging Enge’s experience in technology and academic fields to provide the company with strategic guidance regarding its location technology, intellectual property and research partnerships with universities and other technology vendors.
         Enge also serves as a professor of aeronautics and astronautics at Stanford University, where he co-authored a textbook on GPS technology. “Having maintained a relationship with Polaris Wireless for several years, I have observed the trajectory of the company as its unique wireless location solutions gains increased momentum in the industry,” Enge said in a statement.
