SpaceX Delays NASA Falcon 9, Dragon Test Flight

[Satellite TODAY 01-18-12] SpaceX has postponed its planned Feb. 7 NASA test flight of its Dragon capsule to supply cargo to the International Space Station, the company announced Jan. 17.
The Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon capsule launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station has not yet been rescheduled. SpaceX Spokeswoman Kirstin Brost Grantham said the company needs more time to prepare for the mission.
“We believe that there are a few areas that will benefit from additional work,” Grantham said in a statement. “We will continue to test and review data. We will launch when the vehicle is ready.”
The flight will be the second and possibly final test flight before SpaceX begins delivering cargo to the ISS under its $1.6 billion NASA contract.
