Skybox Imaging Names New CEO

      [Satellite TODAY 08-24-11] Satellite imagery provider Skybox Imaging has named Thomas Ingersoll its new CEO, the company announced Aug. 23.
         Ingersoll replaces former CEO Dan Berkenstock, who led the company as its co-founder from its inception in 2009. Berkenstock will assume the role of executive vice president and chief product officer. Ingersoll will be responsible to lead the company in advance of its first spacecraft launch, SkySat-1, which received authorization in April 2010.
         Ingersoll previously served as co-founder and CEO of Universal Space Network (USN), a supplier of mission critical ground station services to NASA, the U.S. Department of Defense and international satellite operators.
