GMV to Modernize NASA’s Space Network Ground System

      [Satellite TODAY 01-17-11] General Dynamics has subcontracted GMV Space Systems to modernize NASA’s Tracking Data and Relay Satellite (TDRS) constellation under its Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment program award, GMV announced Jan. 13.
          GMV Space Systems will provide fleet management, satellite telemetry, telecommand, archiving and trending, service management planning and scheduling, systems engineering, integration, and test support over a period of four years.
          “We will be part of a high-quality team that will allow NASA to continue operating its space network without interruption while expanding the capabilities of the ground system to handle more complex future space missions,” GMV Space Systems President Theresa Beech said in a statement.
