L-3 to Provide GPS 3 Satellite Test Software to Lockheed Martin

      [Satellite TODAY 10-23-09] L-3 Telemetry-West (L-3 TW), a division of L-3 Communications, has been contracted by Lockheed Martin Space Systems to supply a command, control, communications, and monitor (C3M) system for use in factory testing on the GPS 3 satellite program, L-3 announced Oct. 21. 
          The C3M software is based on L-3 TW’s InControl software, which aims to support satellite test and on-orbit operations. InControl will provide the GPS 3 test executive for Lockheed Martin’s factory assembly, integration and test of the satellites.
          Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
