Spacenet has introduced its new Connect Series of managed network services that were designed to help clarify and simplify network operations outsourcing for large multi-site networks, Gilat announced May 18.
The Spacenet’s Connect Series provides four distinct levels of coverage: ClassicConnect; ManagedConnect; AssuredConnect; and CompleteConnect. Spacenet said each level of service was designed for a specific customer with specific needs.
“Due to the increased specialization and sophistication required to run today's networks, more and more organizations are discovering the benefits of outsourced network operations. This in turn has attracted a variety of new providers, leaving the customer a confusing array of disparate services, with no clear standard by which to compare apples to apples. That's why we developed the Connect Series,” Spacenet President and CEO Glenn Katz said in a statement.
Spacenet Senior Vice President and General Manager of Managed Network Services Brad Wise added that his team was tasked to design a service that would make internal IT departments’ jobs. “Already overworked internal IT departments have moved from a technical support role to one more focused on enabling strategic business initiatives. Our Connect Series is designed with the network manager's real world needs in mind,” he said.
