Voyage Manager has teamed up MSS operator
Iridium Communications to develop and rollout its VM Travel Tracker GPS tracking service with Iridium satellite support, the companies confirmed May 2.
The service launch, which represents Voyage Manager’s first venture into the tracking sector, will allow the company to offer Iridium-based tracking devices designed and built through the Iridium partner ecosystem. The VM Travel Tracker was designed to automatically track travelers without any user interaction.
Iridium affirmed that the Voyage Manager unit is the only completely automated travel tracking system on the market. “These solutions are critical for making travel safer, more efficient and less of a remote experience for people and assets needing to stay in touch with home base,” Iridium Executive Vice President Greg Ewert said in a statement.
