Starling Unveils New Broadband Antenna

Starling Advanced Communications unveiled new satellite antenna, StarRail, which aims to deliver broadband communications aboard high-speed trains.

   The new product will leverage Ku-band and coherent multi-panel antenna technology, allowing multi-megabit-per-second performance for voice, streaming Internet and video and the transmission of other types of heavy files, supporting passenger and crew applications simultaneously.

   The “two-way continuous broadband connectivity is reliable at speeds exceeding 300 kilometers per hour, and its high efficiency gives operators a lower cost per megabyte,” Jacob Keret, Starling’s vice president of marketing and sales, said in a statement.
