Wavestream Unveils New Military X-Band Amplifier

Gilat Satellite Networks’ wholly owned subsidiary Wavestream has introduced a new 80-Watt X-band Matchbox solid-state power amplifier to address the needs of military and government applications, Wavestream announced.    

 The 80-Watt X-band unit aims to offer both efficiency and performance suited for mobile satcom, flyaway and VSAT satellite communication systems. Wavestream said the product also is biased for Class AB operation, drawing less power when backed off to help save energy resources, generate less heat and ensure lower lifecycle maintenance costs.
