INDUSTRY NEWS Envivo Secures Financing for IP PlatformIP service provider Envivio has secured $15 million in financing from unnamed venture capital and banking sources, the company announced July 28.
Envivio said it would use the funds to extend its investment in the video-over-IP market.
“We have created a unified platform that delivers premier quality TV service to any device with a screen. … Cable companies and telecoms are expanding into multi-screen services as well as each other’s markets, and Envivio has an active role in all the major trials of their next generation services. Content owners are creating entirely new breeds of TV service over the top of broadband networks,” Envivio Co-Founder, President and CEO Julien Signès said in a statement.

Separately, Envivio named Erik Miller CFO and Kevin O’Keefe COO. Envivio Chairman Gianluca Rattazzi has also taken an increased role at the company as executive chairman to assist with corporate and business development.
