Eutelsat Communications is carrying out an antenna seeding program to allow broadcasters across the Americas to enhance their reach and cable operators to enrich their offer via Eutelsat’s video neighborhoods at 65 degrees west and 113/117 degrees west.

According to Eutelsat, the program is boosting opportunities for broadcasters to distribute their content and will further anchor the Eutelsat 113 West A and Eutelsat 117 West A satellites in Latin America’s cable market with 100 percent penetration of tier 1 and 2 operators, representing more than 32 million homes. Through the same initiative, Eutelsat 65 West A is poised to achieve 100 percent penetration of Brazilian cable operators, according to the company, allowing it to reach over 18 million homes. Eutelsat plans to complete both programs by the end of 2017.

Key customers across these neighborhoods include Televisa, Thema, and SPI.

Eutelsat recently appointed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mike Antonovich, to lead its Americas division.
