Dish Network Introduces New Programming Package for DTV Shift

[Satellite Today 08-21-08] Dish Network Corp. is offering new programming deals for consumers affected by the upcoming digital TV transition. The company said that consumers may opt to sign up for Dish Network’s American or Latino welcome packs, featuring 20 channels for $9.99 a month.
    The company said it is also selling its entry-level converter box, the TR-40 CRA, from its manufacturer’s website. The converter box qualifies for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration‘s TV Converter Box Coupon Program, making the box free after the coupon is applied, said Tom Stingley, executive vice president of sales and distribution for Dish Network.
