SatLink To Broadcast Christian Channel To Asia

[Satellite Today – 3-4-08] SatLink Communications will launch Daystar Television Network to SatLink’s AsiaSat 2 digital platform, SatLink announced March 4.
    The Christian TV network will join SatLink’s bouquet of spiritual channels delivered to the Asian market via AsiaSat 2, which provides C-band coverage of China, India, Indonesia and 50 other countries.
    "I personally travelled across Asia meeting with cable and [direct-to-home] providers and discovered first hand that AsiaSat 2 is the best platform choice for Daystar, delivering an excellent signal that is unmatched by some other satellites covering this area of the world,” Steve Wilhite, Daystar’s senior vice president of affiliate relations. said in a statement. “Daystar wants to reach as many people as possible and AsiaSat 2 helps us to do that.”
