By Staff Writer | February 1, 2008

[Satellite Today – 2-1-08] XM Satellite Radio resolved a lawsuit brought by Sony BMG Music Entertainment over XM’s Pioneer Inno device, XM announced Feb. 1.

In May 2006, The Recording Industry Association of America filed a suit on behalf of several music companies seeking damages for songs copied by XM subscribers using devices with recording functions.

Sony BMG is the third music company to resolve its dispute with XM. Similar agreements were announced in December between XM and Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group.

XM and Sony did not disclose terms of the deal.
