SatLink Launches Catholic Channel On AsiaSat 2

[Satellite Today – 1-7-08] SatLink Communications will transmit Brazilian Catholic channel TV Canção Nova into the Asian market on SatLink’s AsiaSat 2 MCPC platform, the company announced Jan. 7.
    This will be the channel’s launch into Asia and the Pacific region, SatLink said.
    “We’re excited to play such a crucial role in introducing TV Canção Nova to the Asian market and look forward to continuing this successful relationship,” SatLink CEO David Hochner said in a statement. “Our AsiaSat 2 MCPC platform gives channels the opportunity to penetrate this region with outstanding results, and we’re glad to take TV Canção Nova there."
    Financial details of the agreement were not released.
