Kudelski Group Expects Profit Fall

[11-09-07 – Satellite Today] The Kudelski Group, a supplier of middleware and conditional access services to direct-to-home players, said Nov. 8 that profits for 2007 were likely to be lower than expected.
The company now anticipates 2007 earnings before interest and taxes of between 85 million Swiss francs and 95 million Swiss francs  ($75.2 million and $84 million). Total revenues are expected to fall at the lower end of the ) previously announced range of 940 million Swiss francs to 955 million Swiss francs ($831.1 million to $844.4 million.
    Kudelski remains optimistic that revenues in 2008 will surpass 1 billion Swiss francs ($884 million) despite slower development of specific digital TV segments and geographical markets as well as a declining exchange rate with the U.S. dollar.
