[Via Satellite 05-06-2014] The International Media Associates (TIMA) signed a three-year contract with Eutelsat for capacity on the Eutelsat 10A satellite for serving its customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and for reporting from its central London studios. TIMA provides services in international news broadcasting, content production, and events coverage, with offices in London, Paris, Washington, D.C. and operations in the Middle East.

“Satellite is a vital platform for high quality content distribution, especially in an age of HD transmission. It’s reliable, high quality and still provides the easiest and quickest way to distribute content to a wide range of customers around the world,” said Alla Salehian, CEO of TIMA.

The new capacity acquired by TIMA will assist news teams in covering events with global significance, such as the Oscar Pistorius trial and the Pope’s upcoming visit to the Holy Land, along with other breaking news stories.
