Es’hailSat Partners with Paris Saint-Germain Football Club to Broadcast Major Soccer Game

[Via Satellite 1-2-2014] Es’hailSat has partnered with the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) football club for the Qatar Winter Game vs. Real Madrid. The game takes place in Doha, Qatar on Jan. 3, coinciding with the effective start of operations of Es’hail 1, the company’s first satellite, located at the 26 degrees east.

The satellite is expected to broadcast the game live in HD from Doha to the whole Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Es’hailSat plans to broadcast diversified and high quality premium content with anti-jamming capabilities across the region.

Es’hail 1, which shares a spacecraft platform with Eutelsat, was successfully launched on Aug. 29, 2013. The satellite will provide television, voice, Internet, corporate and government services across the MENA region and beyond. Es’hail 2 is currently under development and will be located at the 26 degrees east TV broadcasting hotspot.
