TVMax Uses Scopus To Migrate To All Digital Network

[Satellite Today – 1-22-08] TVMax, a multiple service operator based in Texas, has purchased a headend solution from Scopus Video Networks Ltd. to support TVMax’s migration to an all-digital network, the company announced Jan. 22.
    TVMax, which has about 100,000 passings, provides cable services to multiple dwelling unit housing communities in the greater Houston area.
    "We chose to partner with Scopus because they offer smart solutions for the cost-effective delivery of digital programming today and advanced services going forward,” David Curtin, COO and executive vice president at TVMax, said in a statement. “Our decision to use a single-vendor headend solution simplifies day-to-day operation and ongoing maintenance of the digital delivery infrastructure. Scopus products are used successfully by cable providers across the globe. Their end-to-end solution and extensive support capabilities fit our needs and goals as we transition to a total digital solution."
