Wegener Receives In Orders For Media Receiver

[12-20-07 – Satellite Today] Wegener Corp. has received orders worth more than $1.4 million for its Unity 552 Enterprise Media Receiver, Wegener announced Dec. 20.
The orders are expected to be the first of a series of orders from the unnamed customer for a complete network upgrade to the Unity 552.
“Wegener designed the Unity 552 to address the needs of the private enterprise market and it has been obtaining great reviews from its field trials,” stated Ned L. Mountain, president and COO of Wegener. “With the Unity 552, new and existing enterprise networks can explore opportunities to transition live video broadcasts from MPEG-2 to MPEG-4/h.264 video compression and upgrade to high definition video.”
