[11-09-07 – Satellite Today] International Datacasting Corp. has received $460,000 in research funding for a next-generation Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) product line, the company announced Nov. 8.
The funding, from the National Research Council Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP), will help keep the company competitive, IDC President and CEO Ron Clifton said.
“This support will augment our investment and, crucially, it will help us accelerate the time to market for some important new IPTV products and enhancements,”Clifton said in a statement. “This contribution will also help build on IDC’s real-life experience and success in the IPTV market while strengthening our intellectual property portfolio and allow us to pursue the international IPTV market more aggressively."
