ABS Helps Filipino Channel Expand Geographical Horizons

[11-02-07 – Satellite Today] Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) has signed a deal to expand Filipino channel NET 25’s coverage across the Middle East and Europe, ABS announced Nov. 2.
Under the contract, ABS will broadcast NET 25 on the ABS-1 satellite for cable TV and IPTV distribution. NET 25 is a free TV channel operated by Eagle Broadcasting Corp.
“The ABS-1 satellite’s extensive Ku-band footprint can be received on dishes as small as 60 centimeters, so we can offer more affordable options to our consumers,”Edgardo Villanueva, president of Eagle, said in a statement. "We look forward to a long-term relationship with ABS, allowing us to further increase our penetration into key markets and giving us the opportunity to enhance our services.”
