New TV Channels For Asian Satellite Subscribers

[09/05/07 – Satellite Today] Asian satellite customers in Europe will have 10 more channels to choose from, thanks to a new deal for additional channels signed between Intelsat and GlobeCast, Intelsat announced Sept. 5.

GlobeCast signed additional channels for its WorldTV Direct-to-Home (DTH) service in Europe, including Aag, a south Asian youth-based channel, Aaj Tak, a 24-hour Hindi news channel and NDTV 24×7, an Indian 24-hour news and entertainment channel. The service will use Intelsat capacity on the Intelsat 905 satellite.
