RRSat MSS Subsidiary Wins Telecom Italia Management Platform Deal

[Satellite TODAY 07-17-12] RRsat Global Communications Network’s mobile satellite business Station711 has been chosen by Telecom Italia to provide a customized and fully branded Inmarsat FleetBroadband-powered web management platform, RRSat announced Jul 16.

Telecom Italia said that the Station711 web-based administration interface would aim to allow the company to provide their customers and end-users with a value-added service for billing, reseller billing, customer care, provisioning and customer self management.

“Telecom Italia has decided to invest in enriching its offer of Inmarsat FleetBroadband services with one of the most advanced suite of value added services,” Telecom Italia Vice President Silvio Laureti said in a statement. “We are strongly committed to improve our satellite offering with solutions that best fit our customers’ needs, like having a tight cost control over Inmarsat FleetBroadband traffic.”
