      KVH Expands Mini-VSAT Network Capacity in the Caribbean

      KVH Industries has doubled the capacity of its mini-VSAT broadband network in the Caribbean region to support the rising demand of the growing customer base. The increased capacity is part of the ongoing global network upgrade involving deployment of Variable Coding, Spreading, and Modulation (VCSM) technology provided by ViaSat.

       

      SpaceX Secures 18-Satellite Launch Deal with Orbcomm

      SpaceX has entered into a launch services agreement with satellite messaging services provider Orbcomm to launch up to 18 Orbcomm second-generation commercial communications satellites currently being constructed by Sierra Nevada into low-Earth-orbit using the Falcon 9 rocket.

      The new agreement is worth $42.6 million, excluding any optional services and subject to certain adjustments that reflect pricing plans the two companies previously agreed on under a launch contract signed in 2009.

       

      ViaSat Renews Broadband Airborne Satcom Services Contract with U.S. Government

      ViaSat will provide a U.S. government customer with broadband airborne satcom services under a valued $52 million one year contract.

      This is renewal for services established in 2009 using ViaSat ArcLight technology over a managed private network to support military missions for the War on Terror.
